TL-2000 – Asphalt Rejuvenator

Rejuvenate oxidised asphalt in place and protect the surface from water ingress, UV damage and oxidation. TL-2000 penetrates up to 8cm into the pavement, forming a waterproof polymer membrane that extends service life and defers resurfacing.

How it works

TL-2000 is a genuine asphalt rejuvenator — not an emulsion. Applied with standard emulsion-spraying equipment at 0.7–1kg per square metre, it penetrates up to 8cm into the asphalt surface (verified in Mexico and Germany) and forms a polymer matrix that integrates with the existing oxidised bitumen. Rejuvenation continues for up to 12 months after application, restoring the asphalt's original elasticity and waterproofing. The surface can be reopened to traffic within 2 hours.

TL-2000 should be applied to an even surface. Where the road surface is broken, pothole repair (see our SOUP product) should be completed before applying TL-2000 as a top-layer sealant.

Technical characteristics

• Chemical resistance: resistant to road salts, alkaline substances, sulphuric acid (40%), nitric acid (25%), acetic acid (70%), hydrochloric acid (30%) and phosphoric acid (80%).
• Warranty: backed by a 5-year guarantee; expected to extend road service life by 8–10 years or more.

Applications

Asphalt road rejuvenation and resurfacing deferral, stabilized soil road coating, concrete and metal surface coating, bridge protection (as an alternative to milling), and concrete wall waterproofing on the negative side. What is TL-2000?

A polymer-modified road coating material containing approximately 70% waste mineral powder, cold-applied to any surface. After a short curing period it forms a 1mm protective membrane that seals and rejuvenates the surface beneath. The technology is patent-protected.

Why use TL-2000?

UV exposure and water typically cause roads to lose their structural properties within 2–3 years of construction. Seal-coating with TL-2000 extends service life by 8–10 years or more, increases skid resistance, and reduces long-term maintenance costs.

How does TL-2000 differ from emulsion-based coatings?

TL-2000 contains no water and forms a rigid bond once fully cured, unlike traditional emulsified seal coatings. Its high waste-powder content also makes it more cost-effective. Beyond asphalt rejuvenation, it provides full water, UV and chemical resistance, and can be used on ports, stabilized soil roads, iron coatings, concrete, anti-icing and tack coating applications.

What is the application rate per square metre?

Between 700g and 1.2kg per m² for standard asphalt, depending on road condition. For stabilized soil road coating, expect 1.5–2.0kg per m².

When can the road reopen to traffic?

Approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour after application, depending on ambient temperature.

How is TL-2000 applied?

Manually or automatically, using standard emulsion-spraying equipment. No special surface preparation is required, and it is rapid-curing — roads can typically reopen within 40–60 minutes.
