HL Hydrophobic Protective Coating
PROTECT & PRESERVE
HL Hydrophobic Protective Coating
HL is a single-component, transparent polymer coating engineered for durable, all-weather surface protection. It is used across steel and concrete infrastructure — from anti-corrosion coating on steel pipes and gas insulation systems to protective coating for residential and industrial structures.
How it works
HL applies like a conventional paint, with no special machinery required, but cures into a hydrophobic, chemically resistant surface that resists degradation from weather, UV exposure and chemical contact. It cures quickly even in extreme sub-zero temperatures, and performs equally well indoors and outdoors.
Technical characteristics
- Application rate: 700g–1.2kg per m², depending on surface condition.
- Service life: typically 5–6 years, compared to 2–3 years for conventional protective coatings, due to superior UV and water resistance.
- Cure conditions: fast-curing, including in extreme sub-zero temperatures.
- Colour options: can be produced in any colour.
- Certification: patent-protected formulation.
Applications
Steel pipe and structure anti-corrosion coating, gas insulation systems, concrete protection, port infrastructure, container and metal coating. HL has been widely deployed in Russia, where it is proven against extreme weather conditions and corrosive chemical exposure, as well as in port coating and container protection projects worldwide.
Frequently asked questions
What is HL?
A viscous, single-component protective material used to coat concrete and steel structures, protecting them from corrosion and environmental degradation. HL can be produced in any colour.
Why choose HL?
Conventional protective coatings typically last 2–3 years before UV and water exposure degrade their performance. HL delivers 5–6 years of service life, is more cost-effective to apply, and remains effective in extremely cold temperatures.
Where has HL been used?
Most widely deployed in Russia, where it has proven effective against extreme weather and corrosive chemical exposure. HL has also been used in port coating projects, metal coating, and container protection applications worldwide.
What is the application rate per square metre?
Between 700g and 1.2kg per m², depending on surface condition.
